No referral needed

Getting started is easy

In the state of Texas, you can see a licensed physical therapist without a doctor's referral, prescription, or script. You can be evaluated and treated for up to 30 consecutive calendar days before a physician referral is needed to continue skilled PT. This means you don't have to wait for a referral to get started. The sooner you come in, the sooner you can begin feeling better.

Pregnancy + Postpartum

Support through every stage

Our providers offer specialized care through all stages of pregnancy and postpartum, helping women prepare for birth, heal after delivery, and return to the activities they love with confidence.
Labor + delivery prep

A dedicated birth prep session covering pelvic anatomy, labor and delivery positions (with and without an epidural), breathing techniques, graded pushing, perineal massage, and preparatory exercises. Partners welcome. Handouts provided. Recommended after 32 weeks gestation — preparatory exercises typically begin around 35 weeks.

Recovery from labor + delivery

Postpartum rehabilitation for healing, pelvic floor restoration, and return to daily function. Addresses the physical impact of birth — whether vaginal or cesarean — with a structured, personalized care plan that meets you where you are in your recovery.

Postpartum + return to exercise

Safe, progressive, evidence-based guidance on returning to movement — including high-impact exercise, running, and strength training — after birth. No more guessing when you're "ready." Kathryn will help you get back to the activities you love in a way that supports long-term pelvic health.

Insurance + Payment

Out-of-network, by choice

Our therapists practice as an out-of-network provider — a deliberate choice that allows them to treat you as a whole person rather than a diagnostic code. You'll receive the high-touch, one-on-one care that the standard in-network PT model simply doesn't allow time for.

Payment is collected at the time of service. We'll provide a receipt you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Most clients with out-of-network benefits receive reimbursement, though we can't guarantee it.

common questions

Pelvic Floor Therapy FAQs

What does an internal pelvic floor exam involve?

Typically, an external and internal pelvic floor exam is performed to determine the source of your symptoms. We do not use any devices, such as stirrups or speculums. We use skilled palpation techniques to assess muscle quality, strength, and coordination of your pelvic floor. We try to maintain your sense of modesty and comfort by providing a sheet for coverage. Ultimately, it is completely your choice whether you wish to proceed with an internal examination during your evaluation.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies by condition and individual. Some clients see significant improvement in 4–6 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term care. Your therapist will give you a realistic picture of what to expect after your initial evaluation, and will build a care plan around your goals and your schedule.

Will I have an internal exam every visit?

Not necessarily. It depends on your symptoms, main complaint, and what was identified during your initial evaluation. Most visits focus on therapeutic exercise and hands-on care. Internal work is included only when clinically appropriate.

Can I come in if I'm on my period?

Yes! We have sanitary pads on the mat, plus we've seen it all before. It is up to you whether we perform any kind of internal pelvic floor assessment and/or treatment. However, you can always perform your instructed exercises while on your period.

What will we cover in a birth prep appointment?

We will go over your birth plan, anatomy of the pelvis, different positions during labor, different positions during delivery (with and without an epidural), different breathing techniques, graded pushing, perineal massage, and exercises to help prep your body for labor!

When should I do birth prep?

We normally recommend any time after 32 weeks gestation. Any sooner and you're likely to forget one of the many things we'll talk about. Your labor prep exercises are normally recommended to start around 35 weeks gestation.

Can my partner come to the birth prep appointment?

Absolutely, the more the merrier! An extra set of ears for all the information covered can be really helpful. And if your partner can't make it, don't worry — your therapist will send home detailed handouts covering everything discussed.

Is this for men or women?

At this time, R+R's Pelvic Floor PT services are for women only.
